The Master Warrior Project

The Master Warrior Project
I am excited to announce a new project that I have been working on developing for some time. We are calling it the “Master Warrior Project.” A few years ago we introduced the “Master Jiujitsu Class” with the intent to introduce the art of Brazilian Jiujitsu to those who may be a little older and who were uncomfortable training in our normal group class environment. In some ways this project is an evolution of what we started back then.

The project is designed to bring together a group of people with similar goals and values to train together, offer “authentic” communication and accountability so that we can all grow together and eventually mentor others.

Goals:
Learn and train valuable skills to prepare to be a protector and sheepdog.
Learn to maintain calmness and composure during stillness, movemment, and chaos
Most importantly learn about yourself and what stops you
Face your own “bullshit”

Master Warrior Project

The Code:
I am training to be a spiritual, master warrior, and  Sheep Dog.
I am training and utilizing disciplines from martial arts to pursue a path of self mastery and to develop the warrior spirit within, in order to improve not only as an individual but to serve others and something bigger than myself.
I do this so that I can be a courageous and lethal protector of both my family and friends while also living a life in flow.

Virtues we value and focus on developing through training:
Strength of mind, body, and spirit
Resilience of mind, body, and spirit
Anti Fragility and becoming unbreakable physically, mentally, and spiritually
Courageousness to seek the truth about ourselves by our willingness to fail
Discipline, focus, and deliberateness in training

Class Format:

Warmup:
Tai Chi with focus on internal awareness and connection to mind, breath, and movement

 Basic Self Defense:
Primary focus on awareness and drills to detect, diffuse, and defend if necessary

Intro to Jiujitsu: focus on basic principles and movement
