Practice becomes your strategy which becomes your new way of life Let’s go deeper into the idea of “Taking the Pill.” In the 1999 film The Matrix, rebel leader Morpheus offers Neo a choice between a blue pill—to return to comfortable ignorance inside the simulated illusion—and a red pill to discover the harsh truth of reality. Neo chooses the red pill, triggering a digital trace program that tracks his physical location, disconnects his mind, and flushes his real body out of the machine power plant. The Choice and MeaningThe Offer: Morpheus tells Neo: “You take the blue pill… the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill… you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” The Red Pill Function: It acts as a tracking and disruption program. It forces a fatal system error in Neo’s neural connection, allowing the crew on the Nebuchadnezzar to pinpoint his physical pod and rescue him from his liquid-filled incubator. The Aftermath: Neo wakes up naked and frail in the real, devastated physical world, realizing human civilization is harvested as energy by sentient machines. It has to do with fully embracing the system and process we have available to you. In the first half of the year, our goal was to describe with as much clarity as possible our training system. We are doing this through the“Art of Strength” and the progressive belt system we have created. We had our first round of white belt tests recently to give clients an opportunity to sit down one on one and discuss the basic fundamentals of our strength training program. The purpose of this is to insure that we are on the same page regarding how to optimize the training. The “white belt test” is an intellectual exercise. The next step is to take what you know intellectually and apply it to reality. This can be akin to:“Taking the Pill” Being a Warrior versus LibrarianFT*I ( Follow The (Choose Your Motivational Expletive) Instructions)I have previously said that we as coaches are “Option Facilitators.” Our coaching process (although based on science and a foundational system) is not a one size fits all approach. If you have a problem, then we do our best to provide options to work around or fix the problem. More recently I have reframed that idea to utilize the stronger word “Solutions” versus “Options.” The last part of the year we will be focused on providing very specific “Solutions” to your problems. However, to provide a solution, we must first know the problem and to know the problem we must first know what it is you truly “want.” As a continuation of our “Master Warrior Project” we will be embarking on an “Unbeatable Mind” Challenge in October. This is where you become clear on what you want, we provide a solution to get it, and then hold you accountable to your “Word.” |
